Good place to work out. Atmosphere is decent. Friendly people. Equipment tends to break down and the sauna is always breaking down because people add water into it. So that's why I didn't give it a 5 rating. Other than that it's a good gym.
The Fitness Connection on Hwy-6 perfectly embodies ORGANIZED CHAOS. In this bustling environment, individuals engage in their workouts, yet the management appears indifferent to maintaining a super neat and tidy space. This lack of concern is evident in the unorganized arrangement of weights scattered everywhere. Observably, people disregard the rules and neglect safety protocols, contributing to the challenge of finding or missing weights. The prevailing atmosphere suggests a laissez-faire approach from the management, as evidenced by the apparent disarray and non-compliance within the gym.
Just got a membership here since I heard about their new deal, was excited to hear about all the equipment availability that I was told FC has which is true for most of the machines, but at this particular location there isn't very good free weight service and no one really keeping up with the availability of the weights at this section. When I left the front office staff was too busy playing basketball at the front desk which made sense as to why the service at the mission bend location is not the best. I know this may reflect poorly at other locations but I am going to be trying other locations to verify whether or not it's just this location on a Sunday afternoon that is negative.
Fitness connection gyms are nice for the $10 a month is good to be able to go and work out in facility. Just wish people will be more mindful of others. They need to work out instead of being on their cell phones while just sitting on the machine when they know other people are trying to work out and get a workout in and go but that’s not really the facility fault for non-serious working out people.
This gym is spacious. But the rule is so ridiculous. I have a brother, which is 14. He wants to start working out with me but doesn't know how the gym environment is. So I thought I could take him with me and let's him try it out before actually getting him the membership. The staff told me there's no way to let my brother in unless he gets the membership first. 😮💨
My favorite gym because it’s so cheap only 10$ a month (before tax). Also because there is many machines and also a women’s area. I recommend going in the morning because it is extremely full from 5pm-9pm because of people going after work. Love the staff because they always greet you at the door and when you leave as well. Restrooms are always clean. Love the sauna room although it can be a bit bigger because it gets filled up sometimes. I like how there are alternative machines because if the one you want to use are all occupied, there’s alt machines you can use that target the same goal. They also sell a lot of stuff like drinks, protein powder, merchandise, gloves, locks, etc.
This location is nice. One of the few that actually have a big women’s workout area. I love that they play movies in a dark room where the treadmill & stair stepper is. I didn’t like how I was there for a month & was already charged a annual fee. Out of all the locations I’ve been that never happened before, but overall the gym is nice. I’d prefer to go early mornings or 2 hours before closing when it’s not too crowded.
Great gym! any complaints about this gym you see happen at every gym in houston. I have worked at the best.
